The Sad Broken Girl

She always look so sad

She wonders if we’ll remember her

When the day has end

She doesn’t have any friends

She’s better with men

But sadly

They only want one thing

She’s got to brush the tears away

She’s gripping tightly

Praying this to end

She’s wearing her smile

Picturing a better life than this

Her mother knows

But what can she say

She seems far too off

To even lend a hand

She’s watching all the happy people

Hoping one day she’ll share in that simple life

But for now she’s holding a smile

Pretending to be content

Pretending to be whole

Wondering when?

Knowing this might be her time to break down

She always did look good in red

She smiles

And carries on for one more day
